About Taylor Agostino Group
The Taylor Agostino Group (TAG) has a long history in Washington, DC metro area, providing personalized services for thousands of clients in our real estate market. For nearly 50 years, sellers and buyers alike have been working with this family-based business, which was started by Nancy Taylor in the 1960’s. Nancy was joined by her husband, Keene Taylor, and together they grew Taylor Real Estate (TRE) into a thriving locally-focused independent brokerage firm. In 1989, their son, Keene Taylor Jr, left his technology consulting career to become a full-time realtor, too. As the company grew, they we joined in 1991 by Steve Agostino, who brought a background in urban planning and development to the operation. (Steve became part of the family, too, by later marrying Keene and Nancy’s youngest daughter.)
Keene and Steve became business partners, as well as brothers-in-law, in late 1995, when they bought out Nancy and Keene to become the owners of TRE, Inc. After tremendous growth during the late 1990’s, and early 2000’s Keene and Steve decided to sell the sales operation, so TRE joined the Long and Foster Real Estate family of companies, providing clients with an even broader range of services and support. At that point, Keene and Steve formed a powerful sales team with their parents/in-laws, working together with them until Keene Sr.'s death in 2008. Since then, they have continued to serve clients as the Taylor Agostino Group (TAG).
TAG has since become one of the area’s most experienced teams. Combining neighborhood expertise and a strong commitment to ethics and honesty has resulted in tremendous success for their clients. With thousands of home transactions in DC, Maryland and Virginia, TAG remains one of the most knowledgeable and qualified one-stop real estate operations in the Washington DC market.

Since 1991, Steve Agostino has brought clients his special expertise in making homes “ready for sale.” Steve sweats the details so you don’t have to! Whether it’s helping you pick just the right color for your front door, performing an in-depth study of sales trends or giving careful analysis of the forty or so pages that make up today’s sales contracts, Steve will manage all the details for you, ensuring the best results. A hands-on personality, he will be with you every step of the way. A lover of his community and the outdoors, Steve volunteers with Friends of Lafayette Park, works with rescue dogs, and supports involvement in local environmental causes. With decades of living and selling in Washington DC, Steve has a solid base of experience that backs his confident yet careful approach.

Keene Taylor
Associate Broker
Keene was born and raised in Washington DC where he grew up in a “real estate family”. Both of Keene’s parents were in the business, founding an independent residential brokerage, Taylor Real Estate, in the late 1970’s. After graduating from Rice University with a BS in Electrical Engineering, Keene worked for more than 6 years doing technical consulting work for Booz Allen Hamilton, before joining the family business in late 1989.
While with Taylor Real Estate (TRE) Keene was the firm’s Property Manager and then Sales Manager, learning all aspects of the local D.C. market. During this period, Keene also began forging the hundreds of working relationships with other key agents in the DMV.
In 1996 Keene and his brother-in-law/business partner, Steve Agostino, bought Taylor Real Estate from his parents, at which time he became the Principle Broker. Keene and Steve grew TRE, Inc. into a significant player in the close-in Metro market, eventually reaching about 30 agents in size. During this time Keene served on the Board of Directors of both the local (GCAAR) and national (NAR) real estate associations. He was also President of the D.C. Association of Realtors in 2003.
Since joining COMPASS in 2017, Keene has helped lead that firm to the number 1 market share in DC. His hallmark is bringing decades of experience to bear for the benefit of his clients.
JoJo Spallone
Realtor
A native North Carolinian, JoJo Spallone started her career at Branch Banking and Trust. There she served clients in both private and mortgage banking. She then managed special projects at EagleBank including the EagleBank Bowl and their US Open golf sponsorship. She served on the board and advisory boards at Fair Chance, a local DC organization supporting underserved youth and families. During the pandemic shutdown, JoJo worked to help grow Families4Families, an organization that coordinates fresh groceries through student clubs to help address food insecurity in the DMV, and now serves on their board. An avid gardener, she is an active member of the Garden Club of Chevy Chase. JoJo is also the founder of JCS Company, LLC where she manages residential home renovations. After years of local real estate study and investment, JoJo is thrilled to join the Taylor Agostino Group at Compass.
JoJo lives in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband, Robert, and their two sons.
Matthew Orgera
Marketing and Business Development Manager
Matthew was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona before his family relocated to San Diego, California a few weeks before starting high school (however he considers San Diego home). He attended Colorado State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Media Studies in May of 2023.
Before joining the Taylor Agostino Group at Compass, Matthew moved to Washington, DC post-grad to work as a sales coordinator for a prominent speakers bureau, Leading Authorites Inc. Here, Matthew realized his passion for sales and made the jump to the tech industry to work as a Strategic Partner to the fast-growing Series E-funded start-up Andela.
For TAG, Matthew assists with marketing collateral for their listings, business development, and maintaining their decades-long client relationships in the DMV area. Matthew lives in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Northwest DC and loves trying out new restaurants, exploring the city, being active, and attending open houses in his free time.
